INFRASTRUCTURE
CURRENT SITUATION
Infrastructure emerges as a cornerstone of Egypt’s economic development, poised as the country’s most promising industry sector.
Despite a temporary slowdown induced by the COVID-19 outbreak, the infrastructure sector is forecasted to witness robust growth, averaging 9% between 2020 and 2024.
Key catalysts driving this expansion include dynamic public-private partnerships and the rapid expansion of green building initiatives aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and modernizing infrastructure.

PLANS & SOLUTIONS
Egypt’s $4.5 billion high-speed rail project with Siemens will enhance connectivity, linking Cairo to the New Administrative Capital and other urban centers.
The government is also prioritizing infrastructure upgrades in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and developing 14 smart cities, including in the Nile Delta, to support sustainable urbanization and a growing population.
Led by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), these projects integrate key amenities and encourage private sector investment.
IWWI plays a vital role in Egypt’s economic progress, fostering collaboration and growth in water, waste, and infrastructure sectors.
